Greetings from the Chair of Mining Engineering, Penn State
Dear Symposium Delegate,
The Penn State Mining Engineering faculty are looking forward to your participation in the 20th North American Mine Ventilation Symposium that we are hosting at the Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe, PA , June 21-26, 2025. The symposium has attracted close to 70 excellent papers that will be available as a noteworthy proceeding. We thank our many sponsors whose contributions will greatly enhance the event and look forward to welcoming them and the exhibitors that will share their expertise as well.
It is fitting that Penn State hosts this year’s symposium as we celebrate 135 years of mining engineering at Penn State. While it’s not a major milestone, it represents our ongoing commitment to the discipline, especially through our health and safety research focused on reducing the effects of respirable dust that will be highlighted at this venue.
I look forward to greeting all of you in June!
